Bete Grise, the EP
Named for a haunted beach in Upper Michigan, Bete Grise is the sound of a restless soul looking for home in strange American landscapes. After leaving behind the North Woods, songwriter S. Kronberg wandered across the country—traveling, healing, and gathering stories—eventually landing on the misty Olympic Peninsula.

There, while farming and reflecting on the road behind him, these songs took root: dreamy, distorted Americana driven by poetic lyrics and cosmic textures. With pedal steel, fiddle, electric guitar, and jam-band-style interludes, Bete Grise crafts a sound that’s grounded in alt-country but stretches into something more expansive—a psychedelic, deeply emotional journey through loss, heartbreak, change, and longing.

Written in solitude, brought to life by a band formed through the Olympic Peninsula’s vibrant DIY music scene, the debut EP is a haunting, heartfelt dispatch from the edge of the map.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Rainshadow Recording, the first collection of Bete Grise tracks offers a curated look at the expanding body of work.
